At least 5-10 years experience in higher education or other complex organization, with experience in management and/or program planning.

* Leadership experience in higher education or other complex organizations in the areas of diversity and inclusion
* Experience in supervision, human resources, finance and administrative support services
* Leadership experience in minority, student, or academic affairs

Position Summary:

The Assistant Vice Provost/Chief Operating Officer (COO) will work closely with the Vice Provost and Chief Diversity Officer (VPCDO) to manage the day-to-day administrative operations of the Division of Diversity, Equity and Educational Achievement (DDEEA) and coordinate the division's efforts to implement the Strategic Diversity Framework (http://diversityframework.wsic.edu/documents.htm). The COO will also help provide strategic leadership for the division. Occasionally, the COO will be called upon to stand in for the VPCDO at meetings of shared governance bodies and in other public settings.
