Advertised Salary:

Minimum $60,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and area of specialization:

MD; Board Certified/Board Eligible in Ophthalmology

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Completion of residency training in a U.S. Ophthalmology accredited program required. Completion of a clinical fellowship with a focus on Glaucoma preferred. Candidates for associate professor (CHS) or full professor (CHS) rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the CHS track.

License or Certificate:

A Wisconsin medical license, DEA license certification, credentialing with UW Health managed care plans, and credentialing with staff privileges at UW Hospital must be completed by start date.

Position Summary:

This position will primarily see patients at Madison UW Health Clinics, and will also be involved in research and/or teaching of learners in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences.

Additional Information:

There may be additional compensation from the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation, the clinical arm of UW Health.
This position may include patient care duties in UW Outreach Clinics and at the Veteran's Administration Hospital.
