Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Psychology, neuroscience, and life sciences backgrounds preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Preferred / Plus Skills:
- A fundamental grasp of neuroscience and brain mapping.
- Experience with brain imaging analysis software including SPM, AFNI, FSL, and FreeSurfer.
- An understanding of, and experience with, imaging data including DICOM formats, fMRI, CBF, T1, T2, FLAIR, PET modalities.
- Experience with scientific/statistical programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, R, SPSS.
- Experience with UNIX (Linux and/or Mac OS X).
- Python, Ruby, SQL, and bash programming experience.

Position Summary:

The candidate will support cutting edge neuroimaging research studies in early Alzheimer's Disease and aging for the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (ADRC) Neuroimaging Group. Primary areas of responsibility include management of research data, image processing and development of related tools, supporting the research team and disseminating knowledge, and supervision of undergraduate students in the lab. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, analytic thinking and ability to apply technical innovation to clinically relevant problems.
