Advertised Salary:

Minimum $42,167 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelors Degree required, preferably in education, basic sciences, industrial engineering, public health, nursing, sociology, psychology, or related area relevant to the research.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

--At least 2 years of experience in the coordination, administration and execution of healthcare research is preferred
--At least 2 years of experience in simulation for enhancement of medical education is preferred
--Project management experience is preferred
--Experience working on a healthcare research project from inception to final report is preferred
--Familiarity with methods for collecting data on workflow, working conditions and technology perceptions in a medical setting is highly desirable.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant post-graduate, professional work experience. A minimum of 7 years of post-graduate, professional work experience is required for appointment at the senior level

Position Summary:

This position works with the Simulation and Engineering for Surgical Education (SEnSE) laboratory, directed by Dr. Carla Pugh, in the Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery and is responsible for the daily administration and leadership of medical education research studies, including setting up research studies, preparing IRB forms, collecting and compiling data for reports, presentations and publications.

--Must have demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and professionally with students, faculty, physicians and other medical personnel
--Excellent written and oral communication skills
--Excellent organizational skills
--Demonstrated advanced problem-solving skills
--Microsoft Office proficiency preferred
