Advertised Salary:

Minimum $65,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

1. High level of proficiency in the management of software development projects, especially web database applications.
2. Knowledge of the Agile project methodology, particularly the product owner role
3. Experience with software development project estimating and project tracking
4. Ability to interface with faculty, researchers, administrative staff, as well as technical personnel
5. Strong customer relation skills and excellent interpersonal skills

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will work in the Wisconsin Center for Education Research (WCER) Technical Services department and will be responsible for serving as the product owner in an Agile software development environment. The product owner will facilitate the communication between the project stakeholders and the Agile software development team as well as the user experience/application design team. As production owner, the candidate will gather business requirements for the stakeholder and/or key users and write project proposals. During application development, the product owner will make all final decisions regarding all aspects of the application and serve as the voice of the stakeholder.
