Candidates for tenure rank will possess academic credentials to qualify for a tenured faculty appointment at UW-Madison.

Position Summary:

The Operations & Information Management (Supply chain Management) Department in the Wisconsin School of Business seeks an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in the field of Operations & Information/Supply Chain Management. The position would be responsible for teaching graduate and undergraduate students in Operations & Information Management (Supply Chain Management) or related field at the Wisconsin School of Business, conducting scholarly research and performing university service.


The OIM department offers a PhD program, a day-time MBA and an undergraduate major in Operations and Technology Management, and an undergraduate major in Information Systems. We also have a presence in the Evening and Executive MBA programs. Our faculty members specialize in operations & supply chain management, sustainability, healthcare operations management, operations research, managerial economics, and information systems. The department administers the Erdman Center for Operations and Technology Management (http://www.bus.wisc.edu/erdman/) and has close connections with the Grainger Center for Supply Chain Management (http://www.bus.wisc.edu/grainger/), both of which are founded on the principles of cross-functional perspectives and industry relations. Faculty members also maintain links with units outside the School, including the Nelson Institute for Environmental Studies, the Center for Quick Response Manufacturing, the Industrial and Systems Engineering department, the Manufacturing Systems Engineering program, and the UW E-Business Consortium.
