JD from an ABA-accredited law school and MLS or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution.

7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in law librarianship and legal education.

Position Summary:

The Associate Dean for Library and Information Services and Director of the Law Library is responsible for all aspects of library operations, including strategic planning for the growth and development of the Law Library; budgeting and disbursement of financial resources; recruitment, hiring, supervision, management, and evaluation of library staff; developing and maintaining the library's collection of information resources; initiating, coordinating, monitoring, and assessing library programs and services; and maintaining library facilities.

Additional Information:

The ideal candidate will have the capacity to lead strategic planning; collection and information resource development; budget planning and execution; human resources management; and, effective relations with the Law School, University, students, faculty, staff, and other constituencies, as well as superior and effective oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collegially.
