Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in public health, nursing, social work, or a health related field preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- Experience with data analysis, interpretation and communication required
- 1-2 years of health education experience preferred
- Experience with developing collaborative partnerships and providing technical assistance preferred
- Familiarity in working with health care providers and clinics is preferred.
- Familiarity with immunization work, AFIX process and vaccine recommendations is preferred.
- Knowledge of common Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Power Point) is required.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Director of the Immunization Section in the Bureau of Communicable Diseases, and in partnership with the Department of Population Health Sciences in the School of Medicine & Public Health at UW-Madison, this position serves as Adult Immunization Outreach Specialist. The primary focus of the position is to conduct educational site visits to health care providers who administer adult immunizations, working collaboratively with the provider to implement the CDC quality improvement process called AFIX and thereby increasing the rates of immunizations in their patients.
