Under general supervision, this position is responsible for performing paraprofessional human resoures activities in the areas of recruitment, classification, compensation, and other related payroll activities and human resources processes in the Administrative Center of Russell Labs. The position serves the Departments of Forest and Wildlife Ecology, Entomology and Plant Pathology. This group is comprised of over 400 faculty, academic staff, University staff, employees-in-training, and approximately 120-140 Graduate Assistants, fellows and students and serves the research, instructional, student services and outreach activities, with research expenditures exceeding $33 million annually. The Departments have a variety of funding sources, many from Federal and non-Federal grants and awards.
The individual must be able to manage multiple, multi-faceted, detailed responsibilities ranging from the day-to-day to extremely detailed activities. The incumbent will be privy to confidential records and conversations that directly affect the employer employee relationships referred to in 111.81 Wisconsin Statutes.
