Degree and area of specialization:

B.S. in Computer Science or related field preferred

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum 1 year professional help desk experience. Highly preferreed candidates will have:
-Knowledge of Windows 2003 and Windows 2008 Enterprise Server software.
-Experience in Citrix environment, including knowledge of viruatlization software including Citrix Xendesktop, Citrix ZenApp, Terminal Servers and VMWare.
-Knowledge of and proficiency in troubleshooting TCP/IP connections.
-Knowledge of mobile device management as well as Windows desktop management.
-Experience in active directory and group policy.
-Experience in System Center Configuration Manage.

Position Summary:

The mission of University Health Services is to collaborate in the university's work of learning and service by

This position performs under general supervision of the Information Technology Manager or designee.. The duties focus on coordination of customer service support and telecommunications. This position will oversee students providing first line help response, manage inventory and IT request database, manage our telecommunications environment and seek to improve services provided to our customers.

Special note: University Health Services is the student health service of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and, as such, operates as an ambulatory health care facility accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care. This position will be exposed to highly sensitive and confidential information, therefore, the incumbent in this position will be expected to operate under a high level of confidentiality.
