Advertised Salary:

Minimum $42,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and area of specialization:

BA/BS required; MA/MS desirable, preferable in higher education, education, or communications/marketing.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

- 1 to 2 years relevant experience, with experience in higher education setting.
- Experience planning, implementing, and evaluating small and large scale events and programs.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with diverse constituents including students, parents, faculty, staff, alumni, and campus partners.
- A high degree of cultural sensitivity and awareness in working with students from first generation, underrepresented, transfer, and other targeted populations.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Knowledge of student recruitment goals and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work cooperatively and collegially in a team oriented environment.
- Excellent writing, verbal, and computer skills. This includes skills in writing publications, promotional materials, and grant proposals.
- An outgoing and energetic service-oriented approach.
- Must have a valid driver's license and ability to be authorized to drive a UW fleet vehicle to conduct outreach and recruitment job duties.

PREFERRED:
- Experience managing and directing outreach programs, particularly a university setting.
- Knowledge of campus wide student support programs and outreach efforts.
- Familiarity with biological sciences and health professional education in a university setting.

Position Summary:

The Outreach and Recruitment Coordinator is a professional position within the Student and Academic Affairs Office in the School of Pharmacy. This position is responsible for coordinating and expanding outreach programs/activities and communication initiatives for the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program, in collaboration with the prospective student services, admissions, and communications/marketing staff. Additionally, this position will serve as a prospective PharmD student advisor, which includes high school, college, returning/adult, international, and special student populations.
