Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and coaching staff to deliver IT services. (A minimum of 7 years of experience to be considered for the Senior level.)
* Excellent communication, coordination, and facilitation skills (e.g. writing annual reports, preparing messages for leadership, oral presentations, group facilitation).
* Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with iterative, team-oriented development practices (e.g. Agile Scrum, version control, DevOps).
* Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment, including excellent interpersonal skills.
* Experience preparing and managing complex budgets.
* Experience developing strategic plans, project proposals, estimates, and roadmaps/release plans.

Preferred Qualifications:
* IT experience in a higher education setting.
* Experience working with software development teams.
* Experience with budget processes and procedures at DoIT and/or UW-Madison.
* Demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service and operational excellence.
* Demonstrated desire to learn new things.
* Knowledge of modern development architectural patterns (e.g., service-oriented architecture, loose coupling, etc.).
* Experience with metrics and reporting (e.g. KPI).

Position Summary:

Application Development & Integration (ADI) does application business analysis, design, programming, integration, testing and project management. We work closely with customers in primarily administrative units, both within UW-Madison and across UW System schools. We use a wide range of tools and techniques to build applications that will run in all environments, along with implementing and supporting packaged software and developing application interfaces.

The Integrations Lead and Supervisor will supervise professional staff working in areas focused on data integrations and ERP interoperability. Accountability will include leadership/oversight of related projects, ensuring high quality service and financial stewardship. This position will establish a strategic plan and engagement strategy with key partners that facilitates IA's involvement and growth in meeting the current and future business needs for enterprise data integrations. This position will oversee the team in establishing an operational framework (e.g. DevOps) across our project portfolio to further cultivate a culture of continuous improvement. Accounting for modern development practices, including vendor-hosted services, this role will also establish an advisory presence across technical domains and software procurement processes to facilitate proactive decision making and planning.

These duties will require strong analysis, facilitation, coordination, and service leadership skills working with others within the group, DoIT, and across campus. Coordinating this team will often entail working to attract and negotiate for organizational resources and priorities. As part of the DolT management team, the Integrations Lead will have the opportunity to be involved in service and committee work at the departmental and campus level.
