Degree and area of specialization:

Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or Accounting

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

3 years of experience working with ERP software applications with specific expense reporting experience and PeopleSoft experience is preferred.

Desired Qualifications:
- Proven ability to develop functional requirements, system design documentation, and implementation of new systems and updates to existing systems.
- Proven ability to develop, evaluate, and implement policies and procedures and experience training new and existing users on policy and procedure and the use of supporting technology
- Highly proficient using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Desktop environment. Higher education accounting, financial management, PeopleSoft Shared Financial System E-Reimbursement, GET expense reimbursement application, and WISDM financial reporting tool knowledge and experience a plus
- Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, oral communication, and presentation skills. A track record of successful business process analysis and project planning/management. Proven success in creative trouble shooting and problem solving. Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide variety of constituents.

Position Summary:

Under the general direction of the Financial Program Supervisor of the Travel & Card Area and in collaboration with the e-Reimbursement Project Manager, UW-Madison's Division of Information and Technology (DoIT), and UW System Administration's (UWS) Shared Financial System (SFS) Operations unit this position is responsible for supporting the PeopleSoft Expense Module (EX) and Guided Expenses tool (GET) including training, campus-wide implementation, user and system support, as well as maintenance at UW-Madison. Complexities of this module include integration with various UW subsystems, including SFS Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Human Resources System, Purchasing, and Grants. This position works closely with the UW-Madison Travel Manager and other staff assigned from the Travel Office. Ongoing duties include training, managing, and updating the approver/auditor delegation and certification program as well as designing, developing, and maintaining the system post audit program for campus.
