Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required; biomedical, social science, healthcare or related field preferred.

ACRP, SOCRA or other clinical research certification or intent to obtain certification is preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Prior experience with clinical research or in a clinical setting is preferred.

Position Summary:

The Clinical Research Coordinator will join the Department of OB/GYN's clinical research office that provides clinical research coordination and regulatory support services to faculty, staff, and trainees conducting obstetrics and gynecologic-related research.

Work experience should demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and maturity. Candidates must be positive, even-tempered, and effective in building interpersonal working relationships with various personnel. Candidates will need to have the ability to navigate medical charts effectively to abstract necessary information.

Must have flexible work schedule, able to work extended days (e.g. 10 hours), on occasion as needed. This position may require on-call status for subject recruitment, enrollment, and subject monitoring. This position may also require handling and transporting biospecimens from clinical areas to research laboratories. All clinical research staff are required to complete the following training: HIPAA, Good Clinical Practice, human subjects protection training, biosafety shipping and laboratory safety.

Prefix assignment will be determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years of experience is required for appointment at the senior level.
