Degree and area of specialization:

A 4 year Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum of 1 year experience working with professional surveys or occupational data.

License or Certificate:

 

Position Summary:

Work independently on all aspects of the daily operations of the Survey of Occupational Injuries and Illnessess (SOII) and the census of Fatal Occupational Injuries (CFOI) portionof the BLS contract. This position will conduct BLS, SOII, and CFOI data collections, and analyze and publish research statistics. This position will perform complex comprehensive policy analysis and related research, program planning,and program evaluation requiring extensive knowledge of SOII and CFOI programs.
Additionally, this position is responsible for making complex judgements and decisions directly related to the program areas. Travel is required to attend mandated and recommended Federal Occupational Injury and Illness Coding training, OSHA Recordkeeping training, national conferences, and meetings. Position will help publish Wisconsin fatality and injury and illness numbers and breakouts. This position works under general supervision of the director of the Occupational Health and Safety Division.
