Advertised Salary:

Minimum $33,065 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in a liberal arts and sciences field; MA or PhD level coursework and research experience and/or Master's degree in counseling, student personnel, social work or similar highly desirable.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

At least one year of experience in academic advising or a closely related field highly desirable.

Position Summary:

The L&S Honors Program is seeking an academic advisor to join the program's advising team. L&S Honors Program Advising Team members serve as the primary advisors to all undeclared L&S Honors students, and they support declared L&S Honors students in an auxiliary advising role. The L&S Honors Program academic advisors are members of the advising team and, together with peer advisors and the associate director for academic services, serve approximately 1,300 Honors students. Academic advisors also assist with development and assessment of advising-related programming and with administrative tasks that support the endeavors of the L&S Honors Program.
