Job Summary:

This position provides administrative support for the Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) in Medicine and Public Health. The employee will consistently exercise courtesy, accuracy and professionalism and maintain a welcoming atmosphere in a fast-paced continuing education office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can function with minimal supervision

As a member of the UW-Madison Interprofessional Continuing Education Partnership (ICEP), the School of Medicine and Public Health Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) delivers accredited continuing education planned by, for and with the healthcare team. OCPD partners with departments in the SMPH, UW Health, School of Nursing, School of Pharmacy and expert organizations, professional associations and hospitals and clinic that fall within the ICEP Mission and Vision. This position serves as the initial contact for the office and uses extensive knowledge of our business to provide timely and reliable response to customer inquiries and/or appropriately direct inquiries to other staff members.

Requirements:

 

Additional Requirements:

3-5 years of administrative support experience required.
Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to problem-solve and multi-task in a courteous, calm and professional manner is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. This includes the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences including students, faculty and staff.
Bachelor's degree is preferred
