Degree and area of specialization:

Master's degree in business, business administration, health services administration, public administration, public health or related field is required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Ten plus years progressively responsible professional experience with a record of significant accomplishments preferably in an academic medical center is required. Demonstrated experience overseeing administrative and operational processes and resources for clinical faculty as well as an in-depth understanding of academic medicine's multiple missions of education, research, clinical and community service is highly preferred. Well-qualified candidates will have worked in a management role for a minimum of 7 years in a healthcare organization with progressively responsible experience leading to at least 5 years experience in operational and administrative management. Experience managing the revenue cycle in an academic medical environment where several programmatic and budgetary processes co-exist and interact along with experience, in-depth knowledge and proficiency in various budgeting and financial software tools is strongly preferred.

The Department of Pediatrics is seeking Director candidates with a demonstrated record of strong leadership skills to provide overall budgetary, financial and administrative leadership and support of the Department's clinical, educational, research and service missions.
