Minimum of 1-3 years collegiate coaching experience preferred. Other qualifications include the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups and administrators, faculty, staff and students. The successful applicant must be able develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; work well independently and in teams; and be flexible in accepting new responsibilities.

Position Summary:

Assist the Head Coach of a Big Ten Football program in accordance with NCAA, and University regulations. This position will be an Assistant Coach. Primary responsibility of the position is the instruction of student-athletes in the fundamentals of the sport of Football. Additional responsibilities will include assisting the Head Coach in the areas of: recruiting; organizing and conducting practices; performing administrative and public relations duties, all in accordance with NCAA, Big Ten, University and other applicable guidelines and regulations.

Conditions of Appointment: This is a Limited appointment, serving at the discretion of the Head Football Coach. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included. Anticipated start date on or after January 9, 2018. Successful applicants are responsible for ensuring their eligibility to work in the United States (i.e. a citizen or national of the United States, a lawful permanent resident, a foreign national authorized to work in the United States without need of employer sponsorship) on or before the effective date of appointment.

NOTE: This vacancy is the result of an NCAA approval allowing FBS college football teams to add a 10th on-field assistant coach as of January 9, 2018.
