Degree and area of specialization:

Undergraduate degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, or Journalism or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Preferred 7+ years of successful experience in marketing, strategic planning, project management, public relations, and personnel management. Well qualified applicants will have: strong leadership skills, strong experience with data-driven decision making, strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, highly self-motivated and directed, keen attention to detail, exceptional customer service (end user) orientation and experience working in higher education.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean for Advancement, the Director is responsible to plan, direct, manage and supervise the marketing activities of the College of Engineering with accountability and responsibility associated with the operations; highly responsible and complex administrative support to the College of Engineering leadership, faculty and staff to develop strategic integrated marketing plans including public relations, marketing, social media, video and web content in addition to supervising day to day operations and direction to staff.
