Position Summary:

The Wisconsin Collaboratory for Enhanced Learning (WisCEL) fosters instructional innovation, active learning, and high-quality teaching and learning opportunities by providing resources, technology, and services that support multi-use student-centered learning environments on the UW-Madison campus. WisCEL coordinates with multiple partners across campus and is a member of the UW-Madison Collaborative for Advancing Teaching and Learning in the Office of the Provost. WisCEL annually schedules and supports more than 50 active learning courses, which serve over 5000 students at the College Library WisCEL Center and Wendt Commons WisCEL Center.

The WisCEL Operational Program Manager position is both administrative and technical, focusing on communications; administration and development of our online instructional program database (including developing data queries and reports from our courses); review and approval of course applications; course and events scheduling; website administration; and additional operational tasks such as supplies purchasing, survey administration, reporting, and production of program materials.

Under the general supervision of the WisCEL Associate Director, the individual in this position will work independently and in collaboration with the WisCEL staff to manage the WisCEL program. This position is responsible for the flow and management of day-to-day program operations that entail developing a working knowledge of the entire program and mastering a complex set of tasks that vary daily and across the entire year. The successful candidate should have a broad range of flexible skills and experience in program management, decision-making and prioritization, customer service, written and verbal communication. Further, this position demands proficient technical skills with the ability to learn quickly, make independent decisions, manage conflict, and conduct program research using in-house and UW data systems.
