Advertised Salary:

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's Degree Required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Ideal candidates will have at least one year of work experience advising and supporting students in their educational goals and one year experience as the on-site administrator of a college access program that provides tutoring and/or other college access services. Candidates who are bilingual in Spanish or Hmong are preferred.

Position Summary:

The Pre-college advisor is responsible for advising a caseload of students through the completion of high school, the PEOPLE program, and post-secondary enrollment. This position is also the local site administrator for an Academic Center for Enrichment (ACE). This position does have supervisory and hiring responsibilities for academic year and a significant amount of seasonal summer staff. Administrative tasks and data collection and entry are critical pieces to the job; creating reports and monitoring student outcomes are also required responsibilities.
