-Demonstrable systems administration experience.
-Must possess strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred number of years and type of relevant work experience:
-2 or more years of relevant experience.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
-Proficiency in writing tools to automate systems administration tasks is strongly preferred.
-Familiarity with Docker.
-Familiarity with Jenkins.
-Familiarity with Ruby/Rails, MySQL, PHP, Java.
-Proficiency in writing tools to automate systems administration tasks.
-Experience with health care systems and data (e.g. HL7 messaging and DICOM).
-MCSA certification.
-Proficiency with configuration management systems (such as Puppet, Chef, Salt, or Ansible) is strongly preferred.
-Familiarity with release management and continuous deployment.?

Position Summary:

The systems administrator for the School of Medicine and Public Health Information Technology Biomedical Informatics group will primarily participate in the designing, implementing and supporting server infrastructure including physical servers, virtual servers, virtualization technologies, and infrastructure support tools. The administrator will also manage, support, and maintain server hardware, operating systems, and software in a primarily Windows-based environment and assist faculty and management staff in the analysis of Information Services options to meet research and educational needs as they relate to server technology.
