Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of Coordinator ILL- Borrowing, this position coordinates monograph delivery for the General Library System; updates ILS for items delivered; schedules delivery and pick-up times; and physically delivers items. Office delivery is a pilot program requiring collaboration and the ability to adjust to constantly changing priorities. The successful candidate should demonstrate workplace flexibility. Routine day hours are 8:00AM to 5:00PM.

Additional Requirements:

Physical Requirements:
1. The ability to perform physical work in sorting library items
2. The ability to lift 50 pounds
3. The ability to process materials and move around campus to deliver items

Preference will be given to candidates with the following skills and experiences.

1. Strong written and oral communication skills
2. Ability to work independently and with a team
3. Ability to be flexible, pay close attention to detail and respond well to multiple competing demands
4. Knowledge of basic computer skills (including knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications)
5. A valid driver's license that meets UW-Risk Management standards.

1. Experience working in a library setting
2. Experience with or knowledge of circulation functions (checkout, return, recall, hold, etc)
3. Experience directing the work of student assistants
4. Experience in customer service or demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of library patrons
