Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

-Experience working with infants and/or children
-Research experience with human subjects
-Strong organizational, social, and interpersonal skills
-College level course work in human development and/or psychology
-Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office, and ability to learn new software
-A reliable source of transportation is necessary as some travel is required

Position Summary:

The Learning, Cognition, & Development Lab (LCD Lab), directed by Dr. Haley Vlach, conducts research on how young children learn, think, and develop. We are currently working on a series of NSF funded studies examining relationships between children's memory, language, and cognitive development. The Research Specialist will work with researchers in the LCD Lab to ensure the successful completion of these studies. This position is ideal for those interested in later pursuing graduate work in Educational Psychology, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
