Position Summary:

The Center for Patient Partnerships (CPP), located in the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, is an interdisciplinary program with the mission that includes educating graduate and professional students in patient advocacy and providing free advocacy services to the public. Working under the supervision of the Director of Education, this individual will coordinate the technology and educational administrative needs of CPP.

This position will collaborate with faculty and staff to sustain and develop instructional technology and maintain current solutions for teaching and learning at a distance. The nature of CPP projects requires expertise in both installing and supporting technology and an interest in learning about educational pedagogy in an online and blended context. This position serves as Translator and Administrator of technology projects. Technical translator services require a nuanced skill set which allows one to traverse between installation and building the platform to applying the technology to an educational environment. A qualified applicant must be able to take content updates in raw format and appropriately update relevant info using existing style conventions. This requires an understanding of html coding ensuring that the raw data is coded properly for the production environment. Applicants must have experience in Canvas, D2L and/or other common eLearning platforms.

The position will often be the first point of contact representing CPP to potential students inquiring about our educational offerings, which requires comfort in discussing the scope of the CPP Education Program and differences among each option to effectively recruit students, assisting them in determining the appropriate education track and eligibility. The role will also provide administrative support for multiple aspects of the CPP Education Program. A qualified applicant will have experience in student services coordination, including educational administrative software. Experience with on-line marketing and/or recruitment a plus.
