Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

-2-4 years of experience in graduate and/or higher education administration preferred
-Ability to interpret policy and procedures as they apply to individual situations
-Ability to improve processes for stakeholders
-Excellent communication, team work, and issue resolution skills
-Demonstrated experience in computer systems and familiarity with the software development lifecycle preferred
-Experience working with enterprise database products (e.g. Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server) and creating complex queries using SQL preferred

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Associate Dean for Graduate Education to work on projects related to post-baccalaureate student success. The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of admissions practices, recruiting, student services, and program coordination. In close collaboration with Information Technology staff in the Office of Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education and the Graduate school, the candidate will work on data analysis and software development projects to improve the student experience in admissions, student services, and program coordination. Since the campus is experiencing growth in graduate programs for non-traditional students and their experience may differ considerably from those of traditional graduate students, this position will work closely with Division of Continuing Studies and other campus partners to advocate and work on projects targeting the graduate experience of the non-traditional students. The candidate must understand the needs of programs and students and coordinate with all units in the Graduate School to accomplish the broad goals of the position.
