Advertised Salary:

Minimum $54,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's preferred. Acceptable degree areas: higher education, social justice education, student affairs or closely related area.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

* Master's degree and 2 years relevant experience or Bachelor's degree and 4 years of relevant experience.
* Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to Social Justice.
* Acceptable professional experience areas include: cultural center resource office or support program, student activities, student leadership, residential life, organizational development, and educational administration.
* Strong theoretical and practical understanding of cultural, identity, student, and organizational development theories.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects with complex logistics, including successful management and supervision of professional staff, graduate student staff, and undergraduate student staff.
* Strong facilitation skills to lead deep, engaging discussions while managing conflict and encouraging growth.
* Workshop curriculum development and facilitation skills.
* Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups from a variety of identities.
* Strong organizational and planning skills.
* Capacity to make difficult decisions quickly and flexibility to handle multiple tasks.

Note: 1 year of relevant part-time experience =1/2 year full-time experience.

Preferred/Desired Qualifications
* Leading staff professional development events/activities.
* Evaluation, assessment, and strategic planning.
* Training in conflict resolution/mediation, intergroup dialogue, or restorative justice.
* Understanding of/Experience with both Active and Passive co-curricular educational programming.
* Familiarity with advising cultural and identity-based student organizations.

Position Summary:

This position reports to the Assistant Dean/ Director of the Multicultural Student Center (MSC) and serves as the primary facilitator/trainer of the MSCs Social Justice workshops and presentations.

These workshops and programs provide and support campus-wide opportunities for deep reflection and action around issues of Social Justice for multicultural students and their allies. This initiative includes several entry level and intermediate social justice workshops offered throughout the academic year, a Social Justice Speakers and Trainers Series, and ongoing support for students involved in various campus and community social justice efforts.

Our goals are to:

* Develop multi-issue (intersectional) social justice literacy
* Celebrate and reclaim the profound legacy of student movements
* Enhance students' capacities to build effective and sustainable coalitions, organizations, and/or movements in their contemporary context
* Foster and support transformative leaders working towards an increasingly equitable and just society.
