Degree and area of specialization:

Minimum of a Master's degree in Library and Information Studies or closely related field required.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Knowledge of basic concepts, principles, and approaches to protection and care of library and archival material, including nature and structure of paper and plastic-based materials, deterioration, preservation management, disaster prevention, reformatting, and digital preservation required. At least two years professional experience required. Previous teaching experience at the college/university level preferred.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of the Information School (iSchool), teach LIS 678, Preservation, in a face-to-face format during the spring semester of the 2018-2019 academic year.

Additional Information:

There is a possibility this position can be extended in subsequent semesters to teach one or more of the courses listed on this PVL, or similar courses within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.
