Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Biology or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Mouse experience (handling, breeding, genotyping) is required.

At least two years of lab research experience and a strong background in the sciences is preferred. Must have excellent lab management and organizational skills. Background in literature research, as well as preparation, revision, and submission of manuscripts is preferred. Experience in cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques such as DNA/RNA preparation and analysis as well as Western Blotting is preferred.

Must have at least 7 years experience to be appointed at the senior level; prefix assignment based on experience.

Position Summary:

The Department of Surgery, Division of Colorectal Surgery, is seeking a Research Specialist to assist in research projects in the area of anal dysplasia and anal cancer.
