Degree and area of specialization:

Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

1. Required four or more years of experience at a major higher educational institution.
2. Required experience with, and understanding of, technologies and programming languages (e.g., Perl, Cold-Fusion, .Net, SQL, etc.) used to provide web-based systems, tool, or reports.
3. Demonstrated experience with managing projects.
4. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of using systems, data, and technology to streamline research administration for researchers and administrators.
5. Experience supervising and motivate professional staff preferred.
6. Superior oral, written and interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment across organizational units at all organizational levels, including faculty, deans, divisional and central administration and senior institutional officials.
7. Candidate must provide leadership with directing and overseeing operations and services related to eRA activities administered by Research and Sponsored Programs.
8. Experience with federal, state, and university regulations governing grant activities.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a professional, experienced, highly-organized individual with outstanding communication skills for the position of Manager of Electronic Research Administration (eRA) team in Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP). With latitude for independent judgment and action, the eRA Manager will report to the Associate Director Grant and Contract Services to carry out the functions of oversight of the electronic research administration operations within RSP. The eRA Team in RSP provides technology services, systems development, data reporting and analysis, and oversight of effort reporting and cost sharing to support the research mission of the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
