Minimum $35,000 ANNUAL (12 months)
Depending on Qualifications

Degree and area of specialization:

BA or BS in Psychology, Education, Computer Science or related field.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

* At least one year of previous behavioral research or psychological laboratory experience.
* Experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
* Research experience with human participants
* Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Strong computer skills; coding experience a plus

License or Certificate:

 

Position Summary:

The Cognitive Development and Communication Laboratory conducts research on the development of mathematical and scientific reasoning in children and adolescents. The individual in this position will serve as laboratory manager and will assist in developing, executing, and evaluating research projects in the lab. The Research Specialist will serve as laboratory manager and will assist in developing, executing, and evaluating research projects in the lab.

Additional Information:

A criminal background check will be performed. This position involves some evening and weekend work.

Data collection may involve travel to school sites in Madison and surrounding areas (access to a car is helpful, but not required). A period of evaluation will be required.
