Position Summary:

The Education Program Coordinator (PC) works within the Office of Education at the UW Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Ob/Gyn) and assists in the administration and daily operations of the Ob/Gyn rural residency training track, the Ob/Gyn global residency training track, and the Ob/Gyn Simulation Training Program. The PC reports to the Education Program Manager to collaboratively ensure the ongoing accreditation and success of the training programs.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

BA/BS required, preferably in Education or related medical field

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

- Two years of experience in education preferably in administration at an academic health center. Prefix assignment dependent on years of experience.
- Superior organizational, communication (written/verbal) and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines.
- Creative thinking and problem solving resulting in effective outcomes.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting with staff, residents, and faculty in our department, rural hospital sites and their physicians, and other departments in the UWHC GME system.
- Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation programs, and the use of data base systems. (Word, Excel, Power Point) Experience with ERAS and Med Hub preferred.
- Experience in sales, marketing, and budget procedures a plus.

Prefix assignment determined by years of relevant work experience. A minimum of 7 years' experience is required for appointment at the senior level.

Additional Information:

Some in-state and out-of-state traveling will be required to meet as needed with rural partner hospitals and to attend national conferences. Must provide own transportation or a valid driver?s license and eligibility for Car Fleet usage is necessary.
