An Assistant Scientist position is available within the Precision Medicine unit at the Wisconsin National Primate Research Center (WNPRC) in the laboratory of Dr. Igor Slukvin. The successful applicant will actively participate in a team studying the bone marrow transplantation and transfusion of iPSC-derived blood products in nonhuman primates, including production of CD34+CD45+ hematopoietic progenitors from iPSCs, transfusion of iPSC-derived blood products, autologous, and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation.

A position is available in the WNPRC Electronic Health Record (EHR) Services Unit. The EHR Services Unit is responsible for the ongoing development, support and maintenance of the WNPRC's Electronic Health Record (EHR) application. EHR is a web application built as custom Java modules for LabKey (https://www.labkey.org) using PostgreSQL for data persistence. EHR houses a wide array of information, such as animal health records, research data, research protocol information, and employee training records. EHR is utilized by faculty, staff, and researchers both within and outside of the UW-Madison to gather data for research purposes. Additionally, EHR is utilized by WNPRC staff, including veterinarians, researchers, and care staff, to assist in the day-to-day care of the animals.

This position is part of the Environmental Health Division (EHD). The work of this Division has state and national impact on the health and well-being of people and the places in which they live, work and play.The incumbent will perform routine and complex procedures in the Water Microbiology Unit.
