INFORMATION SPECIALIST ENROLLMENTMGMT/ADMISSIONS Madison
Under the general supervision of the Associate Director of Information Systems and Technology, the Information Specialist focuses on supporting and managing technical system processes that engage a wide variety of functions in the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. The Information Specialist will unite technical knowledge and ability with admissions and recruitment business process to fully leverage existing enterprise systems. The Information Specialist will perform administrative processing, business analysis, development, and maintenance within admissions and recruitment information systems. The individual will provide solutions to business process needs by developing a full knowledge of existing applications, developing customizations, and/or suggesting product alternatives. This position is a part of an eight person unit and will manage system set-up, as well as have responsibility for performing, auditing, and troubleshooting system processes.
MICROBIOLOGIST WSLH\ENVIRN SC\WATR MICRB Madison
This position functions under general supervision in the Water Microbiology Unit, coordinating the Large Volume Sampling Program with the DNR, and assists with the preparation of Cryptosporidium and Giardia standards and proficiency testing samples in the Flow Cytometry Unit. This position will require the incumbent to send supplies and perform testing to help determine the cause of well contamination: independently perform and interpret results of routine and non-routine microbiological analyses including molecular methods; review the quality control testing to assure accuracy of the analytical results; develop and implement microbiological methods such as molecular methods; assist in operation and maintenance of the flow cytometer; and assist in the preparation of proficiency samples and slides for the flow cytometry unit.
