The holders of the positions described here will bring a new service to TAC, and establish a new base for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. The physicians based at TAC will provide consultative and standard endoscopic services for inpatients at TAC in daytime hours from Monday to Friday. In addition they will provide outpatient services in both consultative gastroenterology and GI endoscopy, thereby enhancing our services to UW Health patients living in the areas adjacent to TAC. These physicians will also participate in the Division's outreach endeavors, and will attend at other locations such as the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Meriter Hospital, and the UW Health Digestive Health Center (DHC). The appointed gastroenterologists will be fully integrated into the professional life of the Division. Duties will also include teaching fellows, medical residents and students, and participation in scholarly activities which may include participation in research.
