ASSISTANT PROFESSOR summary: The University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks to hire a faculty member with research and teaching interests in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Medical Imaging. This position in Electrical and Computer Engineering is part of a campus-wide cluster initiative to expand and broaden interdisciplinary expertise in AI in Precision Medical Imaging and Diagnostics. The three faculty comprising the cluster will build a world-class core of interdisciplinary strength in artificial intelligence, computational imaging, computer vision, medical imaging, and AI in medical diagnostics that integrate imaging data with other medical information. The cluster hiring initiative involves the Departments of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Radiology, Medical Physics, Computer Science, and the Business School. It is anticipated that successful candidates will develop strong collaborations with existing medical imaging research programs, within the College of Engineering, across campus, and with extramural partners beyond UW-Madison. COMMUNITY DIVISON FACULTY RADIOLOGIST - CT OR CHS TRACK summary: The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking a fellowship trained, Board certified/Board eligible Radiologist to expand its Community Radiology division. Join a collegial group of 26 sub-specialized radiologists. This group provides the main radiology services to Unity-Point Meriter Hospital; A non-profit 448-bed community hospital. Additionally, the Community Radiology division provides radiology services to the adjacent 1. S. Park Clinic and three smaller community hospitals in southwestern Wisconsin, both on-site and remotely. Despite its university affiliation, the division's daily workflow more closely resembles that of a general community practice. In distinction to other community practices, however, this position offers unique access to the benefits of university affiliation and state employment. These include the ability to pursue passions in collaborative research or medical education, if desired. As a public employee, hired faculty member will participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System which includes pension benefits and malpractice coverage. This position also comes with a competitive salary and generous retirement options. The candidate must be able to able to interpret all modalities including X-Ray, CT, US, MRI as well as perform basic fluoroscopic procedures (joint injections, arthrograms). Proficiency in mammography is preferred, but not required for this position.
