This position will provide technical laboratory support to the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene (WSLH) environmental chemistry programs. The samples are primarily associated with Department of Natural Resources (DNR) test requests. The primary duty will be focused on the preparation of received samples for subsequent laboratory testing, including tissue samples of WI fish and other animals, water, soil, and effluent samples,. Additional responsibilities include filtering and weighing of samples, performing sample digestions and extractions, cleaning of laboratory equipment, kit preparation, proper sample disposal, and other laboratory support functions.
