This position will primarily provide psychiatry care to adult outpatient care. The successful candidate will teach medical students, residents, and fellows.

Provide psychiatric care for adult patients:
-Provide care across both inpatient and outpatient settings. -Service on appropriate department and medical school committees. -Participate in other department teaching activities. -Share in call schedules (if MD/DO). Provide supervision, mentorship, and teaching: -Supervise, mentor, and teach psychiatric residents, psychology interns and medical students.

Degree and Area of Specialization:
-MD/DO Psychiatrist or PhD Clinical Psychologist.
-MD/DO requires board certification or board eligibility in Adult Psychiatry, with a firm plan to complete certification (board eligible candidates) or PhD in clinical psychology requires certification in the field and licensure to practice clinical psychology in Wisconsin.
Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:
-MD/DOs should have successful completion of residency in Psychiatry.
-PhDs should have successful completion of training in relevant field of study. At least one year of clinical experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders preferred. -Candidates for clinical associate professor or clinical professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clinician-Teacher track.
License or Certificate:
-Wisconsin Medical License obtained by start date.
-DEA certifications obtained by start date. -Credentialed with UW Health managed care plans, credentialing and staff privileges at UW Hospital, UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital, and VA Middleton must be completed by start date.
A criminal background check and caregiver check will be required.
