Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH) seeks applications for a position in the
Department of Medicine for an Academic Physician in the Division of Infectious Disease. Applicants must be board certified in Internal Medicine, as well as board eligible/board certified in Infectious Disease.

Principal Duties:

The position will have responsibilities for both inpatient and outpatient clinical care at UW Health approved locations in general infectious disease (ID), orthopedic ID, transplant ID, travel and tropical medicine, infection control, and/or antimicrobial stewardship. The position will participate in teaching (clinical and classroom) of ID fellows, residents, and medical students. University and community service will be expected as appropriate. If hired as Clinical Health Services (CHS) faculty, this position will also be expected to engage in active collaborative research.

MD; Board Certified in Internal Medicine and BE/BC in infectious disease.

Completed accredited training program.

License or Certificate:

Eligible or licensed to practice medicine in Wisconsin.

Additional Information:

Minimum: $51,014 ANNUAL (12 months) plus UW Medical Foundation. Total compensation targets AAMC benchmarks by rank.
