Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin Carbone Cancer Center (UWCCC), the Department of Family Medicine and the Division of Hematology, Medical Oncology and Palliative Care, Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin is seeking an Integrative Oncologist to join our team in providing care for our patients with cancer.
The ideal candidate will develop core integrative oncology clinical services and group programs, utilizing our infrastructure in palliative care, social work and supportive services, and family medicine/integrative medicine. Integrated oncology supports survivorship programs, offers alternatives to patients and meets a core competency as an NCI designated comprehensive cancer center. The ideal candidate will also have medical oncology training and clinical practice experience.

Principal Duties:

Duties include approximately 60% direct patient care at UW Health's main campus, including inpatient, consult and ambulatory care; 30% protected time to develop and teach a research or education program and to engage in related scholarly activity; and 10% administrative time. Additional leadership positions representing the division and/or UWCCC on state, regional or national committees may be available to appropriate candidates.

The Division of Hematology/Oncology is part of the Department of Medicine and the NCI-designated UW Carbone Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Division is active in all phases of cancer therapy development and evaluation.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

MD or DO required.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

* Clinical and research interest in medical oncology and integrative medicine.
* Completion of an accredited fellowship training program required.
* Candidates for associate professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines.

License or Certificate:

Candidate is required to have or be eligible for a Wisconsin Medical License. Must be eligible for enrollment as a billing provider and for all necessary hospital privileges.

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
