Position Summary:

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks applications to join a dynamic academic program as the Director of Cardiac Imaging at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Candidates must be a BC/BE cardiologist with advanced imaging training and expertise to lead an integrated approach to cardiovascular imaging and research. Candidates should possess Level III training and a clinical and research focus in at least one imaging modality (echocardiography, nuclear, CT, MRI) with an established track record to mentor junior faculty and fellows.

Principal Duties:

In this position, the candidate will provide leadership and oversight for our multimodality cardiac imaging group (echocardiography, nuclear, CT, and MRI) and will work collaboratively with our partners in the Department of Radiology. They will be tasked with expanding our research portfolio/group within cardiac imaging, establishing and advanced cardiac imaging fellowship, and mentoring fellows and junior faculty within this area.

In addition to imaging and leadership duties, the position includes providing patient care on the inpatient cardiology services and outpatient clinics.

MD or DO required

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Medicine with a focus on cardiac imaging.

License or Certificate:

Eligible for Wisconsin Medical License

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
