This position will primarily provide psychiatry care to a variety of adult outpatient care. This position will also supervise and mentor residents/fellows/trainees.

Responsibilities: |
This position offers a variety of clinical care settings. In addition to having an individual caseload of patients, the successful candidate may work in a team-based model of outpatient care and may have the opportunity to work in a collaborative care model.
The successful candidate will supervise residents and medical students and may provide direct supervision in resident clinic. The position includes supervising residents taking call for the UW and VA Medical Center hospitals as well as sharing holiday call for the UW psychiatric units. The position includes protected time for academic interests and department-wide educational activities., and fellows.

Education: |
Required Terminal Degree MD/DO Required.

Qualifications: |
-Board Certified or Board Eligible in Adult or Child Psychiatry with a firm plan to complete certification requirements. -Successful completion of residency in Psychiatry. -At least one year of clinical experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders preferred.
-Wisconsin Medical License obtained by start date. -DEA certifications obtained by start date. -Credentialed with UW Health managed care plans, credentialing and staff privileges at UW Hospital, UnityPoint Health Meriter Hospital, and VA Middleton must be completed by start date.
-Candidates for clinical associate professor or clinical professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clinician-Teacher track.

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years.
