The Department of Radiology, University of Wisconsin - Madison, School of Medicine & Public Health is seeking a Medical Office Assistant to join our collaborative team in providing support for patients, subjects, referring providers and staff in the clinical and research operations of the Positron Emission Tomography (PET) Program.

Responsibilities: |
Performs administrative and customer service support in an office setting within a healthcare facility or clinic to provide quality customer service to all patients and staff and ensure smooth administrative operations.
- 30% Provides day-to-day operational support to medical work unit personnel
- 5% Prepares documents for patient admissions and appointments
- 30% Serves as front desk staff within a healthcare facility or clinic
- 30% Greets patients, schedules appointments, maintains calendars, schedules tests, and makes referrals according to instructions
- 5% Receives, submits, and responds to inquiries according to established policies and procedures

Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: - Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), and the use of technology - Excellent communication - Strong organizational and prioritization skills - Service oriented
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills: - Knowledge of HIPPA requirements - Knowledge of and experience with patient scheduling

Hours are Monday through Friday, and typically within the range of 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary: |
Minimum $18.00 HOURLY Depending on Qualifications The hourly wage is negotiable and will be based on experience and skills.
