Job Summary:

The Department of Neurology at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health seeks an adult neuropsychologist to join our expanding Charles Matthews Neuropsychology Lab at the UW Hospitals, VA Hospital, and UW Health clinics. The position includes various opportunities for teaching and other activities in an academic environment with adult and pediatric neuropsychologist and neurology subspecialists and faculty in other services including neurosurgery, neuroradiology, clinical neurophysiology and basic science research faculty.

Responsibilities:

Attending duties on adult neuropsychology outpatient, inpatient consult and diagnostic services at UWHC, Middleton VA, and UW satellite clinics for neurology.

Participate in department teaching activities, including neurology clerkship, first year neuroscience, graduate student and trainee mentoring. Train residents, fellows and medical students.

Develop independent, extramurally funded clinical research programs in neurology and pursue funding for research.

The successful candidate will also participate in professional development programs, public, and university service appropriate to the rank.

Education:

Required
Terminal Degree
PhD/PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an APA accredited program. ABCN/ABPP eligible or boarded in clinical neuropsychology.

Qualifications:

Must have completed postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and have a Wisconsin license or eligible for Wisconsin license as a Clinical Psychologist by time of appointment. Must be ABCN / ABPP eligible or boarded in clinical neuropsychology.

Appointment at rank of Associate Professor (CHS) or Professor (CHS) in this non-tenure track that highlights clinical excellence and teaching, requires meeting criteria for appointment level as defined in School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to associate professor (CHS) or professor (CHS) on the Clinical health sciences track.

The Department of Neurology has over 60 faculty and 25 advanced practice providers located at 20 S. Park/Meriter Hospital, University of Wisconsin Hospitals and UW Health Clinics. This position will be a dual appointment with UW Madison and UW Medical Foundation.
