ATP is transforming the finance, human resources and research administration support environment across the UW-System, while focusing on people, processes and technology. This includes the selection and implementation of a new Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system (Workday) to support the changes. The activities will include the review and redesign of business processes (including use of shadow and bolt-on IT systems), redesign of the chart of accounts, and integration of efforts with several ongoing University and UW System projects. The Business Systems Analyst will serve a vital role within the Administrative Transformation Program (ATP). The University of Wisconsin is embarking on the ATP to redesign its Human Resources and Financial systems and services, while focusing on people, processes, and technology.
This position involves performing complex data analysis within the Finance functional area to ensure data management objectives are met and serves as a subject matter expert to leadership. In this position employees will formulate and define systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements; devise or modify complex information systems, including analysis of business and user needs, documenting requirements and revising existing system logic difficulties as necessary and determine and recommend programs required for optimal problem solution within cost/performance objectives; participate in requirements planning and feasibility determination; perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure that programs meet or exceed schedule commitments, work on tasks including project or functional requirements, functional design, functional configuration, testing and documentation.
