BUILDING SUPERVISOR-BAKKE summary: Under the supervision of the Building and Grounds Superintendent, this position will participate in the delivery of maintenance for the division’s facility services department at the Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center. This position provides for the maintenance of recreational sports facilities and equipment, directs, and plans building operations, and assists the Building and Grounds Superintendent and the Associate Director of Facility Services with planning and budgeting for facility operations and equipment. This facility features a lap swimming pool, ice rink, climbing wall, wood floor gymnasiums, teaching kitchen, and over 29,00 square feet of fitness space. A typical schedule is Monday-Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm but may adjust based on Rec Well needs.

CLINICAL TRANSLATIONAL CORE (CTC) MANAGER summary: The Clinical Translational Core (CTC) is seeking a full-time Manager. The overall objective of the CTC is to provide IDDRC investigators with access to a broad range of supports for conducting translational research focused on intellectual and developmental disabilities. The CTC provides services, consultation, and training on a fee-for-service basis, including recruitment of participants; behavioral phenotyping; research coordination in the Waisman Center Clinics and Waisman Early Childhood Program (WECP); behavioral methods and custom application development; advanced statistical analysis; access to bio-bank data and specimens for biomedical research and clinical trials; and biomanufacturing. The CTC also serves as a resource to connect investigators with existing UW-Madison clinical translational services (e.g., CTSA) and regulatory consultation supports (e.g., IRB).
The CTC Manager will plan, organize, and direct research activities of the CTC at the Waisman Center. Additionally, they will work closely with Principal Investigators (PIs) and their staff regarding research needs of each study, serve as a subject matter expert and coordinate technical assistance as needed.
