The Department of Medical Physics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison has a rewarding opportunity for a tenure track faculty position to focus on nuclear- and radio-chemistry. We seek an individual who has a particular interest in radiochemical research thematically focused on radionuclide production and radiochemistry, PET ligand synthesis and characterization, and targeted radionuclide therapy. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with researchers in Medical Physics, in particular the Cyclotron Research Group, whose expertise in accelerator targetry and radiochemical separation offers a uniquely broad palette of radionuclides as a resource for scientific exploration with an equally broad range of potential applications.
TECL SUPERVISOR WSLH/ENVIRN SC\TRC ELEM Madison
This position is responsible for the managing of the Trace Element Clean Lab (TECL) for the Environmental Health Division at the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene (WSLH). Staff supervising responsibilities include: managing the TECL daily work activities, directing employees, recruiting, facilitating staff training, evaluating employee performance and taking disciplinary action when necessary. Other duties include: monitoring TECL work flow and operations, approving/monitoring laboratory expenditures, consulting with internal and external colleagues regarding scientific matters, reviewing and evaluating test results.

This position provides technical expertise in the field of mass spectrometry as applied to clinical laboratory testing and research at an independent level. There are three main functions. The selected individual will be responsible for operation, maintenance, trouble shooting, of mass spectrometers within the newborn screening and biochemical genetics laboratories.

This position performs screening tests to identify congenital disorders in newborns as part of Wisconsin's Newborn Screening Program. The techniques relevant to this position include, but are not limited to, enzymatic assays, gel electrophoresis, immunoassays, and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). In conjunction with other professionals in the program, this position assists with pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing, including reporting of screening test results.

The Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is seeking a Pathologist and Section Head for the Pathology and Professional Veterinary Services Section of our team. This position will lead our Pathology and Professional Veterinary Services Veterinarians, Pathology Sciences Group, and be part of the WVDL Administrative Team. There is also a clinical services requirement as part of the daily caseload and provision of time for academic endeavors including teaching, outreach, and research. The WVDL is a State of Wisconsin agency that is administered by the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Our doctoral staff hold joint appointments at the School of Veterinary Medicine.
