Research supported by the UWCCC Flow Lab is mainly cancer-related biomedical research, but also includes other biomedical research areas; veterinary research, immunology, virology, bacteriology, botany, and biomedical engineering. This Instrumentation Technician role uses flow cytometry, spectral cytometry, image cytometry and cell sorting to provide support to researchers on the UW-Madison campus. Responsibilities will include daily operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of fluorescence activated cell sorters. Other duties include daily instrument startup, quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This position will also provide general support services to researchers which include experimental and protocol design and consultation; training in the use and operation of all instruments as well as assistance, training, and consultation in data analysis.
