Position Summary:

The Department of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis (ELPA) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison seeks a clinical professor of educational leadership at the K-12 level. This position will strengthen connections between the department and Wisconsin educational leaders by aligning university, state, professional association, and district efforts to develop educational leaders who can develop educational equity and support educational excellence. We are especially interested in candidates who have worked successfully with diverse populations.

Principal Duties:

- Teach courses in the K-12 programs in-person and on-line formats, (Basic course load is four courses in the fall, three each in spring and summer. Load may be reduced for administrative responsibilities.)
- Supervise internships and field placements;
- Work with school districts and professional associations to recruit strong students, coordinate field placements, develop partnerships;
- Serve as a resource to and link with Wisconsin schools, districts, the Department of Public Instruction, and professional education associations in the state;
-Lead cohort based administrative cohort programs in the state;
- Recruit a diverse group of potential students and district partners;
- Advise and mentor students;
- Assist in leadership of department programs;
- Serve on masters and PhD student committees;
- Serve on department committees;
- Participate in shared governance.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

Candidates are required to have an earned doctorate or equivalent in educational leadership, educational policy, elementary/secondary/education, or related field.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

We seek a range of candidates, including recent doctorates as well as individuals with professional experience. A minimum of five years of experience in educational leadership with professional service to practitioners and/or program development is required. Experience as a superintendent, working with district level issues, district or building level leadership is preferred.

Additional Information:

While position is in Madison, travel will be required to Green Bay, Whitewater, and any new service site.

This position may be made renewable depending on department need and funding.
